Snow Ice Cream!
Blizzard coming our way this weekend (shocking!), so you've already got the recipe just outside your door! Try this! Lord knows you'll have the time and some crazy kids to entertain! (I cut this recipe in half)
1 1/2 to 2 c. sugar, to taste
1 teaspoon imitation vanilla (or 1/2 tsp. real vanilla)
1 quart heavy whipping cream or half-n-half
6 quarts clean, fresh snow (don't pack it into the measuring cups; it should be fluffy)
In a large bowl, mix the sugar, vanilla, and whipping cream. Start adding snow 2 cups at a time. Toss with the other ingredients until the mixture is the consistency of ice cream.
